Black Leadership Action Coalition of Kentucky Action Fund (BLACK AF) is the 501(c)4 arm of Black Leadership Action Coalition of Kentucky (BLACK).
The BLACK AF voting guide provides information on the role and responsibilities of elected offices that will show up on our ballots every election year.
This voter guide was created to help people understand the power elected officials have to impact our daily lives, so we can hold them accountable for using that power to support people and communities.
The individuals who win on Election Day will have considerable influence on the lives of Black people across the state of Kentucky, so engaging in elections is not simply about fulfilling our civic duties. When we vote, we are actively working to protect ourselves, our families, and our communities from state-sanctioned violence, disinvestment, and disenfranchisement.
The Know Your Ballot voting guide is one tool we can use to build a strategy around our votes and leverage electoral wins to support and liberate our communities.
